The Service is designed to work without collecting any personally identifiable information. All data you create is stored locally on your device. I do not have access to this information.
Habit Data: Any data you create for your habits, including names, descriptions, icons, colors, completion dates, and notification settings, is stored only on your device.
Task Data: Task titles, creation dates, and streak information are stored locally on your device.
Password Manager Data: Website/app names, usernames, and encrypted passwords are stored securely on your device using a secure storage mechanism.
Expense Tracker Data: Transaction details such as category, account, amount, date, type, and notes are stored locally.
In-App Purchases: The app offers premium features ("Pro" version) through in-app purchases. These transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Permissions
The Make It Habit application requests the following permissions on Android devices to enable essential app functionalities. It is important to reiterate that even with these permissions, no personal information is collected, transmitted, or stored by us. All data related to your habits and their completion remains exclusively on your device.
android.permission.INTERNET: This permission is required to allow the application to communicate with the app stores for processing and restoring in-app purchases. It also facilitates development features like hot reload.
com.android.vending.BILLING: This is the standard permission for interacting with the Google Play billing system, enabling in-app purchases for premium features.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: This permission allows the app to reschedule your habit reminders after your device restarts, ensuring alarms remain active.
android.permission.VIBRATE: This enables the app to use the device's vibrator for tactile alerts when habit reminders or alarms trigger.
android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT: Crucial for the app's alarm clock functionality, this permission allows displaying full-screen notifications for habit reminders, ensuring they are highly visible and difficult to miss.
android.permission.USE_EXACT_ALARM: This permission allows the app to schedule alarms and notifications at precise times, which is fundamental for reliable habit reminders.
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13 (API level 33) and higher, this allows the app to post notifications, including habit reminders, to the user.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE and android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: These permissions ensure habit reminders and alarms function reliably even when the app is not actively in use. A foreground service indicates to Android that the app is performing an important, user-aware task (like an active alarm), preventing its termination.
android.permission.ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY: This permission might be used by the notification plugin to potentially adjust the device's notification policy (e.g., ringtone volume) when an alarm triggers, ensuring audibility.
