Analog Clock - Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for Analog Clock Application

This Privacy Policy describes how the "Analog Clock" mobile application (the "App"), developed by Neelakandan, handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

The "Analog Clock" App is designed to provide analog clock functionality and display a public PDF document. We want to be transparent:

  • We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from our users, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or unique device identifiers.

  • We do not collect any sensitive personal data.

  • We do not collect any analytical data regarding your usage patterns within the app (e.g., which clock dials you prefer, how long you use the app).

2. How We Use Non-Personal Information (Internal App Functionality)

Any information processed by the app is solely for internal application functionality and is not transmitted off your device or used to identify you.

  • User Interactions: When you tap on an analog clock within the app, a local log message (visible only during development or with specific debugging tools) is generated for diagnostic purposes. A temporary "Toast" message also appears on your screen to confirm the interaction. This information remains on your device.

  • App Widget Updates: The app uses internal Android broadcast mechanisms to communicate between the main activity and the app widget to update the displayed clock dial based on your selection within the app. No personal data is involved in these communications.

3. Third-Party Services

  • PDF Viewer: The "History" section of the App utilizes a WebView to display a public PDF document ("The Tamil Numerals") which is hosted on a third-party server (tamildigitallibrary.in) and displayed via Google Drive Viewer. This functionality involves loading publicly available content over the internet. No personal data from your device is transmitted to or collected by these third-party services when accessing this public PDF.

4. Permissions Used

The App requires the following permission:

  • android.permission.INTERNET: This permission is solely used to access and display the public PDF document in the "History" section from its online source. It is not used for data collection or transmission of personal information.

5. Data Security

Since the "Analog Clock" App does not collect or store any personal user data, there is no personal data to secure. The app operates locally on your device for its core functionality.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
