  • Background Image URI: The application saves the Content URI (KEY_BACKGROUND_IMAGE_URI) of a user-selected image from your device's gallery, along with the Persistable URI Permission, to display it as the wallpaper background.

B. User-Provided Data (Photos/Videos)

The app's functionality includes an optional feature to set a background image from your gallery.

  • When you use the "Select Image from Gallery" button in the Settings, the app initiates a system image picker.

  • The app only accesses the specific image that the user explicitly selects for use as the wallpaper background.

  • The app requests read access to that specific image via the Content URI, and this data (the image file itself) is used only for drawing the wallpaper locally on your device.

  • The image data is never transmitted outside of your device to the developer or any third party.

2. Data Use and Disclosure

A. Use of Data

The data collected and stored locally is used exclusively for the core functionality of the application:

  1. To render the Live Wallpaper on your device's screen.

  2. To save and apply your customized clock face style and color preferences.

  3. To set the user-selected image as the background for the Live Wallpaper.

B. Disclosure of Data

The Indic Analog Clock app does not share, sell, or disclose any collected user data, configuration data, or image URIs with any third parties or external servers.

  • The app does not contain any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting libraries that collect device data.

  • The only potential data collected outside the app's control is non-personal usage data collected automatically by the Android OS (such as crash logs), subject to Google's policies.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

All collected data (preferences and the image URI) are retained on your device until you manually:

  • Uninstall the application.

  • Clear the application data through your device's settings.

  • Change the settings within the application itself (e.g., selecting a new color overwrites the old color, or using the "Remove Image" button removes the saved URI).

4. Security

We are committed to protecting your data. Since the app does not transmit any personal data or images off the device, the security of your data relies on the underlying security measures of the Android operating system for local storage (SharedPreferences) and system-controlled access to your media files.
